Project shitbox was officially put on hold today (5/31/08) as part 1 of the summer of swaps took place. This summer we will be swapping out three motors.
Part 1 - Remove perfectly good 7MGTE motor out of the grey car and install 1JZGTE
Part 2 - Remove perfectly good 7MGE out of the white car and install the perfectly good 7MGTE and 5 speed.
Part 3 - Remove the BHG 7MGE out of solardrgn's car and install the perfectly good 7MGE from the white car
Oh yeah, Big Shout out and thank you to Aaron at Driftmotion for hooking it up with all the parts. And I mean ALL the parts. Clip, Radiator, IC, IC Piping, Clutch, Misc Hoses, Belts, etc etc to make the swap a smooth and easy transition. And a big thank you to AnorexicPoodle and CLskinny (two of the most experience 1J people in Socal not associated with a shop) for putting up with my repetitive questions, general crap and more importantly putting the motors into the cars.
The clip finally came in today. Fairly stock. Even the intake housing was intact. Did not come with the ORC twin plate as promised, but in fact came with a OS Giken Hyper Single. I wasn't too pleased with that. But to make up for it the car did come with the C's Short Shifter. We took everything of use out of the clip and scavenged the rest of the parts for shitbox.
CLSkinny tried to remove the master cylinder with a Hammer.
