On December 2nd, 2007, a few of us in Socalsupras undertook a misguided project.

Today officially began an extremely misguided project.

The first rule is you don't ask about project "Shitbox beyond thunderdome". So questions will not be answered.

We purchased the Supra from this thread. I will just post the pics and bypass the drama on Socalsupras. The real reason for the build of this car is on the link in my sig below.

Although we are STILL not answering questions, the photo speaks leaps and bounds. Those who are in the know of our evil plans for this car already belong to our little elite group.

So we had a mini meet tearing down the car, doing stupid things in the process...

Skinny & Ryan worked on getting the motor into the car. Having an expert welder on the team (Butch) really helps when trying to creat custom 2JZ mounts for the pre 87.

Contreras and I went junkyard diving for parts.

May 25th Update.

There has been no updates for the past 2 months due to various reasons. Most of you already know the thre reason for building this car. And since we found out we didn't make grid for the event we were suppose to partake in, interest from the project shitbox team members just waned.

After seeing videos from the event we missed got us motivated again. The problem is the car is so far along from our original start that the original motivation was gone, yet it's so far from being done and other projects have captured out interest. Also, the next event that is geographically viable for us is at the end of the year. (None of us want to drive to Texas in the summer and tow shitbox)

Since the "summer of swaps" will take place, shit box must move under it's own power. My motivation is should it move, I can have room to do my swap(s).

We start working on it again a few weeks ago. Since then it got painted merely for rust protection. Last week Ryan decided to take ALL the wiring harness out. Today we played with spaghetti. We are removing all the USELESS wiring looms and keeping the useful ones, which is not many. Here are the pics. Notice the wiring diagrams on the board. Guh
