Well I have been reading some rubbish on some other forum about the truth behind the mileage on my 1jz. Well three years later and almost 270,000 miles later, the Original 1jz in my car is coming out. After three rear late model Xmembers (thanks Aaron for keeping the last one alive) Four Diff's, three R154's the engine has to come out. I will do a leak down of the engine before I take it out, show compression numbers and to top it off, we will be doing a base map dyno for our Stinger standalone of it. After all of that I will put the engine on a stand and have it at the shop for others to see it. The new setup is still up in the air. I have two roads to choose from, HKS twin turbo sport upgrade or a GT35R kit with a stock block and head with some cams. :naughty: I will take apart the clip this weekend and try to post pics as I go.

Here are some pics

End of a Supra. BTW that is Aaron's 4runner in the picture.

I lost this supra on my B-day 2002. I picked up the Soapra from Mike N's place after paying Mike U for it. It was a rolling shell with just a tranny in it.
I have friends that were up in the mountains with me that night. I was not Drifting, I was outrunning a 2002 MR-S and a 93ish MR2, when I lost control through a chicane up in the mountains.

I will post more pics later on. Photobucket is down for maintenace.

Wow we've come a long way since our early canyon days. I was also there on that fateful canyon run, with an 89T that I later also wrecked. =)

you're not gonna use the hks kit? GAY!

Since I knew you were going to reply to this thread, it's time to show what Turbo Joe does to most Enignes (1jz's) This was my clip. It sat around for over 4 months before It went in the engine bay of the Soapra. The Soapra was 7MGTE for one year. That 7M had a total of 70,000 miles on it and it left this world with good oil one day at streets of Willow springs, rod knock knocking on heavens door!

right after I purchased this clip I got a 1jz bell housing and also a TRD Twin plate clutch that one year later died after oil got thru the flywheel bolts. I didn't use thread sealant... Doh!

Your timeline is wrong... You already wrecked the 89T before Jose lost his 90. I never met you till you already had the 91T and Jose still had his 90. I still had my 92 and yet to buy my 91T which I wrecked and resulted in my getting my current 91T... confused???

Ok so I got the 1jz running and I dyno'ed and this is what I got. Cause of Low power output. Clogged Exhaust! I was also on a 7M cat, and stock 1jz Down pipe.

Next dyno day I had Mike U install a HKS hiper cat back with HKS Down pipe and HKS cat. No other mods were done to the car. Boost was stock 11ish PSI.

Last Dyno was this Year. Same mods but I added a tunned ECU and set boost to 14.5 PSI. I can't run more then that with the stock 380cc injectors. The engine would ping. Oh and I added the Driftmotion AFPR kit.

This was shocking to me. The Hp reading on Dynapack is lower but on Dyno jet this Engine is producing over 340 RWHP. Not bad!

If you decide to go with the Garret Gt35r, then you will probably have yours done before me. Good luck either way and keep the pictures coming.............lol

I'd try to keep Joe away from my new turbo kit if I were you...................:naughty:

No confusion, you're right -- Jose lost the 90n/a four months after I lost the 89T, and you showed up in between those four months at some point.

So timeline goes something like...

Jose got his 90 n/a when I still had an 86.5 n/a, and then I got my 89T probably around when you got your 92 n/a, and then you got your 91T before I wrecked the 89T, after which I got a 91T, and then Jose lost the 90n/a and got the 88T, and then you get your 91T, and then you sold your 92 n/a and then I sold my 91T, and then I picked up my 90T and then sold it, and then got the 92T.

Wow that's 10 Supras between 3 people.

Well the Engine finally blew on the Supra. It lasted a long time and lots of fun miles were on that engine. First four cylinders were at 180 PSI No.5 was at 60 PSI and N0.6 was at 130 PSI. This happened two weeks ago and I still drove the car. I have now installed the new engine with the HKS twins and loving every single PSI of boost!

Aaron sent out my manifolds and Y-pipe to get ceramic coated. Here is what they look like:
