So i think i might have a blown head gasket...But i don't have antifreeze in my oil, no leaks anywhere, but it's still somehow burning anti freeze. i thought about the intake gasket but idk that much about this car. my buddy said it could be a sensor, i forgot what he called it but he said it sits by the intake manifold, he said it could be sucking in anti freeze that way. It don't have trouble starting. and it don't smoke until it has idled for a minute. it can rev but only slowly pushing the throttle. if i give the throttle a quick little push it cuts out immediately. soo any thoughts?? i don't really have the money right now to get any checks done.

Do a compression test and tell us what the numbers are for each cylinder. We will let you know.

First thing, DONT drive it untill you figure this out or you will really
be in the hole money wise.

A compression is a good way yes,

Also is there any oil in your anti-freeze?

While you were driving did you notice any power loss?

Any over heating issues?

Also while your car is started open up your rad cap and see
if you can smell any exhaust gas's.

Is your coolant overflow tank having coolant just
appear in there?

Lol no, Thermostat does all that.

Common sense should ask you why would you want anti-freeze being sucked into the combustion nonetheless burned.

Just to be on the safe side dont listen to that guy anymore...

there are 2 ways to have coolant in the cylinders with out a bad head gasket, the intake manifold gasket and the bolt on the back of the head behind the egr.

compression test would be wise. pressure test and block test would also be wise.

what color is the smoke?

there is no sensor that lets coolant into the intake.

Are you sure theres no antifreeze in the oil? I recall a reputable source stating there needs to be way more water in the oil to see then to do damage.

How are y ou sure its burning coolant? Smell? Loss of coolant?

There needs to be barely any antifreeze in the oil to half the oils ability to lubricate...as in, less than a tenth of a percent I believe. Lemme search.

edit: Many tests have shown that as little as 0.04% (400 PPM) water in lubricating oil can cut the fatigue life of bearings by as much as 48%.

I stand corrected, but the water affects it a lot more than everyone thinks.
