Yep, mean no more SM or anything :cry:... O well glad I just work there during the summer and winter... Apparently to many people where surfing the net.

BTW before anyone says something like I was surfing to much, EVERYONE lost access. All 100+ employees. Yea lots of people are pissed. This wont help productivity though, people will just walk around talking.
Productivity comes from the top of the chain not the bottom.

Websense sucks balls. They even applied it to my Blackberry, which makes it useless on the weekends when I'm out and trying to look up pricing, or surf while I'm waiting for a flight on business trips. Strangely enough SM and a lot of car related forums come through... I wonder how long that will last?

I don't know what the fuck my work uses, but it sucks sometimes. Oddly enough, most things get through, other than MP3 sites, youtube (streetfire works), porn (VIP room works :naughty, and file sharing sites.... I guess much doesn't get through then... Well, at least SM works (SF doesn't though).

I'm at work and we have websense and I freakin hate it. Luckily the forums aren't blocked but the airport ITS also blocks Flash so any site using Flash doesn't work right. We can't download anything like we used to. It sucks but I'm sure at one point in time many o'people got caught watching porn. ITS has a staff of people who just sit and watch what people are viewing. They could be watching me type this right now.

Yea I know what you mean. My old project ended and I moved to a classified project so no internet anymore I have to walk out of the vault to check my email and surf the net, it sucks.

I work for myself, and one of the things I have to do to make money is sit in front of a computer and wait for work to come in the form of an email, then beat other techs to claim it. So I pretty much gotta sit here all day. That leads to endless net surfing and part of the reason Im on SM so much, lol.

go there, sign up as a new service provider, have someone "vouch" for your technical service ability, wait for work to roll in. Pretty easy. However its a bitch to get going as you get the crap jobs and have to fight others for work, but once you have some ratings under your belt more work comes in. Helps to get their certifications and training too.

Yea, they have it fully running now. Meaning only work related sites are open...EVERYTHING is blocked...even google.
There reasoning was that so many people were surfing the net that it slowed down the internet so much that people who needed it for work couldn't use it.
