Gates are closed, there is a big sign on it that reads: "Valve Tech has closed its doors, no new business, if you have a work being done here, call on mon/wed/fri before July 26th. Any parts left here will either be junked or sold. Thank you!"

DAMN IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!!! My block is in there! And who's gunna do my head now? MOTHER *bleep* SON OF A *BLEEP* ASS*BLEEP* *BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP*

So yeah, they olnly have about 5 grand worth of my stuff in there... MEH! I'll call em on wednesday! Would've been nice for them to call me and tell me, but...

But seriously, these guys have been around for 20 years, they have a fantastic reputation... I cant believe they are shutting down... I heard a rumor, I guess its true... I just cant believe it...

Im so bummed... I dunno where to take my head to get the P&P and valves done... *sighs*

Thought I'd share, ever have somethin like this happen?

i hope your block doesnt end up like mine did from them....when i did my BHG i could literally feel the machine marks in the head and block surface. i wasnt impressed to say the least

IJ: I know what you mean... They've had my block since december oh five... Over 7 months now... Last I saw them, my bottom end was done, but they needed my oil pump drive shaft to check bearing clearances... That was two weeks ago... Now the'r gates are closed... WTF happened in 2 weeks? Im callin them tomorrow, so hopefully its good news... Maybe they wont charge me, LOL!

Most shops run pretty close to the edge and all it takes is a few bad debts to tip them over!

I'd be getting in there first thing in the morning and picking my parts in person just in case there are creditors as you'll find you're way down the list and everything becomes "The Bank's"

Ian: ain't that the truth... I was going to have my machine work done semi-locally, and went to check the place out. Turns out he was selling his brand new snowmobile, truck, motorcycle, atv on site because "times were tough"

...eek.

On the other hand, that place does shitty work, so I don't feel so bad :icon_razz
