Yep I knew it would happen relatively soon. Just because of the fact that my car probably attracts attention. Cop was a dick (which ones arent) to me the whole time. I was goign fast on this big ass straight away coming back from work (speedo said ~110, but it has NA gears, so a bit less then that) Not a blip from the radar; turns out he was tailing me. He said he clocked me at 85 in a 50 or something like that; then he got me on my no inspection, BUT no modified exhaust ticket. takes all my stuff to his car... while I sweat it out being blinded by that god damned spot light thinking 6 pts is probably gonna hurt me fairly bad.

Then he comes back after being a dick the whole time about everything and says he's giving me a break. Turns out he only gave me careless driving which is only 2 pts, and ignored that I have no inspection. So its not as bad as I thought.

However, from now on I have to be mega careful about stuff like that, since the advanced programs at UTI can only have 2 moving violations :( ..

Oh yea, I got my lisence on the 15th, lol.

I know, in the end he was really nice about it. Thats what I was saying, it seemed uncharacteristic of how he treated me the whole time.

knowing quite a few deputies and a few state troopers..here are some words to live by.

be curteous, they are just doing there job (most of the time)
never tell them the speed you think you were going. if they ask "you know how fast you were going?"
Say "I'm confident it was the speedlimit sir/ma'am." Sometimes you'll get pulled by a cop who simply thinks you are speeding, and when you blab 70mph sir.. you just admited to speeding..

Lastly...just go the speedlimit..seriously....i usually go about 5 over... and if I were to get a ticket..you certainly wouldn't see me crying over it (not saying you are) but I'm just saying i take responsibility for my actions as shuold more drivers.

I've had two tickets and those caused my license to be suspended. one of the cops was really nice, and he said that "normally he'd let me off, but hes been getting complaints about a red sports car going fast through this area in the mornings" so I couldnt exactly talk my way out of it. that was the second ticket, in the first ticket, the guy was an ass, they had a speed trap set up where this guy in an unmarked cop car(had the lightbar in the window) tailed you practically on your bumper knowing that out of nerves most people will speed up, then at the last moment, the unmarked car would turn off, and right behind a shrub that sits all the way out to the shoulder there was one cop with a speed gun and another on his bike, pulled me over and cited me for 15over and having my front license plate in my window(I personally didnt know it was illegal), and when I tried explaining it to him that the holes to attach the plate to the bumper were stripped out, he said that it was no excuse! fuggin pig. not to mention, the state sent me the notification saying that if I got a second ticket my license would get suspended(I thought it was three) the day after i had gotten my second ticket, I got the first ticket in december, and the second in march!

okay, thats my rant

p.s.:I am in no way implying that I dislike all cops, just the ones that abuse their power.

p.p.s.:I ended up getting the license plate citation dorpped, and both tickets reduced to under a hundred dollars.

same here fuck cops that think they are the shit, i know plenty of good cops, but there are rookies that think their shit don't stink and they have the power to rape u in the ass all they want.
and supraman there was 2 cops doing that on one of the highways here in TN, did it to me, guess what i slammed on my brakes, his ass went fuckin white knuckled.
pulls me over ask what i hit my brakes for, i told him i felt like i was going to fast, he didnt do shit, i thought i could see his heart pumpin blood to the vein on his forhead that was about to pop.
sometimes i wish he would have hit me, both those cops would have been in so much trouble. ass bags.

Yup I was pulled over going more then double the speed limit and the cop kept asking how fast was I going, what do you mean you dont know how fast you were going etc etc. He let me go.

it took me 3 years to learn that it wasn't worth it to speed. only took three tickets but they did their job. I'm only 21 but the last two tickets i got were differed and I havn't sped since... not going to either :)

Lanky, you are the man...... Couldn't have said it better myself. I always found that being nice and respectful will get you by with warnings. Use sir/ma'am as Lanky suggested, and always say thanks..... I'm sure during the course of their day they pull over plenty of assholes, and I'm sure a polite person will make their day, and maybe yours if you weren't doing something stupid. My friends dad is a state trooper, he told me if it was anything 11 mph over or less and the car was clean and the person was polite, he would just give them a warning. Just my $.02...
