After running down all the coil packs and cleaning them all off and making sure they sparked (yeah i shocked myself :nono: )
i opened her up to find a shredded timing belt and a bolt missing

that bolt just holds the metal back plate on, nothing more. Looks like it worked loose and hit your cam gear by the picture(it will happen if you don't use thread locker, happened to my car too, but i caught it in time with my weekly inspection), and fell into the timing belt and ate it. Probably also made it jump a tooth or 3.

Replace your timing belt. They are $26 dollars at autozone for the isuzu belt. I've been running one for nearly 2 years. Its easy as poop to do, you can't screw it up, takes like 30mins from start to finish.

I highly doubt it broke your crank position sensor, but if it got in there in the right place, it could have broke that or broke loose the star teeth thing on the crankshaft considering there is no exit or vent holes.

if it skiped a few teeth it would likely back fire but we only got a blast or two out the back after cranking a lot. and got a mild back fire out the intake when trying starter fluid but i did get it to... kinda... run.

non the less i'm breaking into it this weekend and setting the cams right if they are off. i just hope that takes care of the problem and it's not something else
