So I have a 1989 Supra Turbo. I get to college today and I'm just chillin in my car because I had gotten there a little early. I look out the window and I see a faint smoke coming from my exhaust. I got out looked at my exhaust and there is a small amount of smoke coming out. Its not white or black. But I guess it has more of a grey tint to it. Oh its not a blue either.

PS: Car is running normal and no CEL

Ok so before my next class I've been searching on here and it seams as if my symptoms point to Bad turbo seals? Last time I checked my IC pipes they had a very tiny bit of oil in them. I read that this could be related? Now its off to class!

Is the smoke white?

If it is, its the rear turbo seal and or bad valve stem seals.
It hasn't done it since that one instance. But I am getting bad fuel economy so maybe that has something to with it? Unburnt fuel?

sounds like your car can "see its breath" from the cold :) But yeah, better to be over cautious then let a BHG go undealt with.

As far as gas milage goes, it could be a number of things. Too thick of oil for temp, timing, really low tire pressure...spare tranny in the back ;)

I'm having some oil in IC piping too, so there's nothing to worry about? Car throws black smoke (small amount of it) at high rpm's.
Be sure to check your O2 sensor, mine was dead and after replacement fuel consumption droped for about 2liters ;)

If it's the original piping and everything I'd say it's normal, just wait until you take out that stock intercooler and empty it out! Big surprise there, you won't believe how much blow by can build up in there! wash it out with gas and you're good as new.

Check all of your vaccum lines and I mean all of them. Disconnected vaccum line can possibly be the cause of your extra fuel consumption. Is your power output the same or do u feel a change in power output? If so check your timing.
