smokes after 3 years of sitting.

The sticks.
we just got my supra to start today with its low mileage jdm 7mgte and it is smoking from the exhaust and by the turbo. how long will this last for and is this normal? my friend said it is and will go away after a little but i want to confirm this.

No such thing as a low milage 7m unless you have the whole front clip to prove it...

Anyway....there can be some some smoke generally after a rebuild sense everything should be covered in assembly lube etc but the smoke only lasts about 10 min or so unless something else is wrong.

Yeah, I suppose that's true. I heard foreign engines Inc was pretty trustworthly though. My dad thought at first something might have been wrong with the turbo but it spins free with little shaft play. I haven't ran it for more than 5 minutes total

Seals dry up after extended periods of time without seeing oil. It might not go away without replacing the seals. They might swell after seeing oil again for a little bit, but I wouldn't put my money on them sealing properly. I'd expect to have to replace them.
