Today, I took the car out for a spin with a friend. Did a couple 50 to 120 pulls. I started so smell something funkie, but all gauges were okay, so I just drove casually back home.
Car sat for about an hour, I got back in it, started it up and backed it up...to my surprise through a cloud of blue/black smoke. Sometimes the car before smelt like fuel in this situation cause it runs a little rich on startup...but this was definitely different. Driving the car around, it performs and seems to run well..a/f looks normal under all conditions.
I fiddled with the car a little bit...and if I give it a quick idle to 3k rev...a puff of the same blackish/gray smoke now comes out of the pipe. On idle, it does not seem to smoke. Coolent level is fine, going to check oil after it sits for a bit.
Here is the background. Car was driven with lex/afm/550/walbro setup on a 50 trim turbo with metal HG for about 2/3 years with never any probs. This year I put in a JT62, slightly used turbo, a safc and vpc, and got the car tuned. It dynoed at 402/408whp at 16/16.5psi and has run strong for about 2 weeks. Car has about 30k miles on a new crate motor.

Any ideas as to where to start troubleshooting would be helpful. I'll probably get a compression/leak down test hopefully next week somewhere.
