Smog Help

[Supra Blues]

I am curious. This was on my old 7MGE engine (197,000 miles and not very will maintained), but want to know what would cause these results, since some of the same smog components (charcoal canister, cat) are still on my Supra.

15mph test

HC(PPM) Allowed: 124
HC(PPM) Tested: 234

NO(PPM) Allowed: 1089
NO(PPM) Tested: 1710

25mph test

HC(PPM) Allowed: 99
HC(PPM) Tested: 99

NO(PPM) Allowed: 919
NO(PPM) Tested: 406


Anyone know what would cause this or where I should start looking? My new 7MGTE is a fresh rebuild with only 20 miles on it, but I am want to know if the cat could be bad or some other compoent.

what was your o2 content?

with the .5 your convertor wasnt working much.. it should be 0.0 or 0.1... convertor was too cold, or is just old.

So how do I know if my converter is bad??????

with .5 percent oxygen... it's working... just not well. your NOx is way up there though... your egr all hooked up?
