I know im not good at searching, but I tired, so be nice...

What's the smallest positive offset we can go with on our wheels? Will a +27 work?

Thanks,
Jake

offset is one thing, brake clearance is another.

I ran 28 offset on my old TOMS/volk C7R's....really nice the way they were flush.

I believe we could squeeze off a 15mm offset. Thats IT.

I am just going to get wheel spacers though...its cheaper and easier LOL...

again. offset is meaningless without the width. and brake clearance can change with different diameters even if the offset/width are the same. brake clearance is the trickiest part as two wheels from 2 different manufactorers (or even two different wheels from the same manufacturer) could have different brake clearance even if all the specs are exactly the same. you can make some guesses, as a 18incher will typically have more brake clearance than a 16incher, but without an actuall physical test fit, you wont know for sure.

for offsets, check out the offset calculator.

stock size is 7 in width / 37 mm offset

Im looking at a 17X10.5 with a 27mm offset... will it fit? :D *it's a cobra wheel*

Time to pull out the sledge hammer.......... :biglaugh:

I love the Saleen wheels for the Mustangs... If you get it to fit, let me know...

There was someone else on here, forgot what his name was but he has TSW wheels in 18x8 with a 20mm offset. He said it fits pretty good, but can't go any bigger then 235 tires.

for a helpfull visual aid, here is a quick drawing of the ruff locations of the different wheels and verious items. one note is that you cant really tell the outer edge of my wheel and the cobra/saleen wheel, that is because they are pretty much in just about the identical same location. also note that this is the rear of the car. the cobra/saleen wheel would will not fit the front either as it would hit the shock and hang out past the fender lip.
