Codes 22 (water Temp signal) 42 (vehicle speed sensor) and 52 (open or short in knock sensor)

Unfortunately I dont have an accurate history on the car. I'm goin to try to run it with out the turbo and see whats going on. compression is good, spark is stron, new plugs, lots of black smoke out the back though.

Upon further inspection I found 2 wires coming out next to the starter (hard to see wxactly what they are hooked to but I think it is the rear knock sensor. one is red and one is yellow. I have 2 unused clips on th eharness, 1 is red (think it went to the EGR which is now blocked off) and one is a black square connector that is right near the throttle body. I'll get some pics later, just trying to figure out where to connect the knock sensor wires.

You will need another knock sensor and probably a new connector. Don't try to rig it up all hokey, it's very important. That's why the engine will not rev quickly.

timing's been retared cause it's not getting a correct signal. dude do it right first time and enjoy. toyota ddin't put two there cause they thought it would look pretty there's a reason why there's two.
