Well to start I was coming from church Sunday afternoon. My brother spotted a Red F430 at the light that we were going through. I pulled over at the bottom of the hill and waited for him to come by. He pass by and I pulled off following it to next light. We came to a stop and my brother and I were looking at it of course. Light turned green, Me not having 1st gear and awaiting a rebuild at the moment I crept off in 2nd and from there went for it hoping he would get the point I was making. I hit 3rd and got up to approaching 90mph and then all of a sudden, ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMmmmmmm, and I was like DAAAAMMMM.
Pass by me like I was sitting still. We got the next light, a old lady that was watching from behind pulled up next to me giggling and laughing at me. Atleast I tried my best especially being my car stock, thought he was going to pass me alot sooner.

Next time take it to track where you can race in a legal form. I hate reading about street racing or stop light racing. No wonder the cops hate us so much :nono:

I'm curious. Did you make the 170 MPH club on the track, or on the street??

Be honest now. :sarcasm:

Ok, you got me there, although it was 10 years ago. Back country road where I could see 4-5 miles in all directions. Since then I have grew up and realized how stupid, idiotic, and dangerous racing and or finding top speed of a car is when not in a controlled environment.

Sorry 92nsx. I stopped street racing 3 years ago and I do go to the drag strip now and do it legally. Its fun doing it legal. Shoot I was at Rockingham Dragway ealier this month racing my corolla and settled some beef with the rest of my slow 4 cylinder friends. But This was a rare opportunity. Not to many Ferraris driving around where I live and I just wanted to see how fast a F430 is compared to my supra. Really couldn't call it a race sense we both took off slow and he set at the light for a while giving a huge head start. More messing around

Moved to the proper forum, and let's leave the preachy stuff out of it. Yes, street racing isnt the smartest thing to do, but it happens, and this is the place to share when it does. Lets leave it at that

Slow66>>>you commend street racing, as long as it is "something that happens":dunno:
This is why I don't (normally) comment on threads like this.

I'm not stating my opinions one way or the other on street racing. All I'm saying is that this specific forum is not for discussing the woes of street racing, and its inherent dangers.

If you "hate reading about street racing or stop light racing", then its probably best not to click on the "kills section", because many impromptu "kills" happen on public roads.

Deal with it.

Yeah, probably better off that way.

Feel free to contact me via PM if you really have an issue.

Back to the topic now.
