Man, im tired of my sissy horn..

bad ass supra, evil exhaust targa off.............and the tweety horn. I let people get away with cutting me off sometimes because i dont wanna honk it..:3d_frown:

even my friend's MKIV had it...

anyone know if GS300/SC300 horns swap right in?

i've heard those hella supertones, and i dont like the sound, i've heard them on 2 different cars. Even my dad's little rav4 has a manlier horn...

when my mom comes home and wants us to help her with the groceries, you hear a horn of fury and dominance...

i want that...

You can put any horn you want on your car. Just go to the junkyard an pick up a set...lol.

I had the hella Twin-Tone compressor air horns on my car, they sounded like a Ferrari horn, and were really loud too...but the compressor blew, and I went back to the stock sissy horns...lol. Just another option! ;)

A friend of mine just took a mk2 supra horn and tossed that on his car since he had a wrecked mk2 in his driveway. it was an improvement over the stocker.

i just tossed a universal horn in my car to pass inspection. kinda sounds like crap but for 12 bucks and a pass on my out of province i couldnt care less :biglaugh:

pluss i got a kick out of watching the mechanic stare at the button in my cigarete lighter hole for 5 minutes trying to figure out what it did :p

my moms 2000 sienna (they were identical from 1999-2003 iirc) horns are plenty loud and they will fit like mentioned earlier, so you can use that as an option.

Sweet, I'm not the only one who does that ;)
The very first time I used the horn, it was my first time driving it and I killed it at a stop light as it turned green. The very second it died, this redneck in a lifted F-250 LAYS on his horn. I went, alright, fine, you wanna play like that, and I hit the horn as I was starting it back up. The second I heard it, I nearly dove under the seats in embarassment.

I'll hafta check out the SC & GS horns, then.

Or, for some fun, go hunt down a 70's Buick. Hehehehe. We had a 77 Park Ave, damn I loved that car. You could actually pick out like 3 different pitches in the horn, and it was loud as hell. I loved it, it seriously sounded just like a freight train. It was AWESOME to SEE people jump when you hit it for a sec. :evil2:

The horn in my 2K Galant sounds much more "manly." I was gonna try swapping to see if it'd work on the Sup. Might try later this week, when it's Sunny again (Thursday).

The only time the Sup's horns are used, are for the annual inspection sticker... I am much too embarrassed otherwise.

Do what I did. Leave your horn out/remove it. I have never seen the true usefull of a horn on the road. I mean if someone cuts you off and you honk, what good did you do? If someone is paying attention at a stop light and it turns green, you can honk to get their attention but half the time it seems they'll accelerate slowly out of anger that you honked at them. About the only time I can see a horn being used for some good is when you see someone changing lanes/merging into you, and in that case I choose to not hope they get idea and I make my own evasive maneuvers.

You want a bad ass horn, get one out of a 1988 Buick Park Avenue. The damn thing sounds like a freight train, no shitting. It's two tone and really freaking loud. We had fun blasting it across parking lots at night and hearing it echo down the street, it's that freaking loud. A very good replacement for the wimpy stock supra horn.

hah, i have no experience with horns, so i was wondering if you can swap them, nice to know you can!

im thinking of getting an old "aooga" horn, on a switch somewhere (probably replace one of my coin holders, why the hell do 89's have two?) just for the laugh factor...

ill look into buick horns, my best friend's sister has a roadmaster, might be similar...
