I'm assuming that most of the single turbo 2j and 1jz cars out there have custom downpipes (unless there is a mass produced version out there that I don't know about). How much did it run you?

I have a greddy t78 kit. Bought it used, its a greddy mani, turbo, and dp but the dp dont fit. :icon_conf
Most downpipes are different due to turbo sizes and manifolds. either buy a 3" dp and have an exhaust shop mod it to fit, or have one fully custom made.
Just dont buy a 3" dp for stock twins, or else the pipe will end pretty much were your turbo mounts and half of it will need to be chopped off.

I made my own. It cost me about 120$ for mild steel down pipe with v-band clamps from Summitt and from ATP Turbos.

how does the chinaman downpipe work? is it a direct fit into the MK3 body w/out any issues? what is the diameter of the downpipe?

Yes its a direct fit no issues i could take a picture of it in my supra when i have some time 85$ is a lot better then 2-300 for a mild steel one. its a 3" dp with V band clamp i got the one with the flex tubbing on it.

Lin's downpipe fits most MK3/MK4/SC's.

Unfortunatly at the time I installed my turbo, i didn't have the time to wait for shipping.

I made mine with two 3" mandrel bends and vband flanges i got locally. I made the 2 bolt O2 flange by sawing it off an old o2 sensor and welding in studs. Costed me about $90.

I'll be ordering a Lin downpipe soon, mine is a hackjob. I was drunk and overheated the vband weld on the turbo and warped it a hair causing an exhaust leak.

We have the downpipes for $150 shipped.

You will probably want to cut/modify the bottom for better ground clearance.

When you buy a manifold/downpipe/turbo package the price gets better of course.

I just made my own downpipe yesterday for my car. 3" v-band flange, and 3" u pipe, $65cad.

Then I pissed off my neighboours running around with an open downpipe, and GT40-88 with no intake :)
