Well I've been in the Supra Game Since the 7th Grade. My dad had Purchased a Baby Blue 87T from a local used car dealer with a blown motor. His first move was to purchase a 87 TSRM from Toyota. I remember looking at him like O.O 130 bux. He's like this book is this car's bible son. He also purchased a gasket kit, a couple packs of FIPG, ect. ect. Another neat thing was the dealer who sold us the car gave us a 89T Motor, well my dad wheeled and dealed it out of him. The car was perfect on the inside, but the sun took a toll on the exterior. We took the pan off the 89 motor and measured some clearances, did the valve clearance work with the motor off the car. After the "fresh" motor was done, we preceded to remove the old motor the hard way! Well long story short, the Motor was in and it fired up the first try but died right away because the timing light we had bit the dust.

But the next day after a trip to Sears it was running, rough and a little miss here and there. Due to us not connecting the O2 sensor! DOH! Failed Smog once due to that, and us not setting the timing right. So much for having a TSRM huh DAD? Who knew you had to jump the computer, it also to this day has a idle issue, we changed the ISC valve with one we thought worked but apperently not. Well the car passed smog ran like a champ had some wiring issues but we fixed them along the way. :icon_bigg

The car at boost was a monster, even with full stock parts. :aigo:

My uncle has the car now since my dad got married in 2005, he has since blown the motor driving it without oil. Rebuilt by my Cousin, where they installed the head onto the block prior to the Front timing plate on the block and warped the HG by pinching it. :icon_evil

I did the HG Replacement on that car and boy the shit i fixed on that car along the way. Don't touch a supra if you have NFI.

FWIW - we know that color as 'Homo blue' not 'Baby blue' ;)

I know gay people and they prefer tints of red and green, your lavenders and pinks. ;)

Badly oxidised flat dull homo blue at that ;)

It wasn't that bad before. ;)
A knowledgeable supra owner (my dad) should never sell a supra that needs a little tlc and detail to a owner (my uncle) who doesn't check his oil, and washes his car with highly concentratred amounts of dish soap.
Car looks grey or something. Everything from the block up is clean, thanks to a little scotch bright and simple green, and yours truely (me).

BACK ON TOPIC:

Well I own a 280ZX now, I use it as my DD and it was free from a EX-BF of my mom's. It's One hell of a beater, runs like a blind dog. My Plan was to buy a Camry Solara or Celica GTS or Tacoma and get stuck in payments.

But that all changed when i stopped by my cousins and we were board and i'm like have you driven the supra in a while he says no. I say lets take it for a spin and remember at this point i had talked to Moe and told him i didn't even think about owning a MK2, MK3, or MK4 anytime soon. But as i'm in the passenger seat he lets the car roll out of the driveway and as he puts it in first he kills it and i can tell he's nervous and his driving shows it. So i offer to drive, i step into that seat and it takes me back into my Dark Blue supra, i adjusted the lumbar and made sure that my sides would be well secured, only thing that felt foreign to me was the light blueness of the car as i am used to my my dark blueness. Well i'm babying the car through the city, wow does it feel calm, and not at all jerky, quiet too. Transmission is a little gravel box like but nothing in life is perfect.

As soon as i enter the back roads, and enter an area of Sacramento i'd like to call cow town. I'm at a stop sign with my right turn signal on, and i put a smirk on my face. I rev it up to about 3500 and slowly slip the clutch and give it WOT causing me to counter steer and causing the car to act violently, and at that moment i knew i would own a MK3 again. As i run through the gears i tune out my cousin yelling and telling me watch it man you're gonna wreck, ect ect. I redline a few shifts i proceed to high rates of speed and i get tunnel vision in a matter of minutes, as i'm going at about 120 mph through this two lane stretch open road with dips and hills. I keep thinking about my next supra; it's going to be definitely 7M powered and R154, and a lot lower (the air going under the car was making me airborn a few times), and most definitely MOAR BOOST! The car took me back to when i had my old supra and i knew from what I picked up over time i would be able to achieve my goals in the next one.

So after a matter of 20 Minutes of "Getting a Feel Of the MK3" again. I kind of knew what I wanted in a supra. And proceeded home and my cousin would never get into a car again with me.

At this point i had driven Cobras, and a few LS2 GTO's they just were not smooth, and well built. The plastic makes me wonder.

So My Search Began at that point, for a Clean supra, running or not i had to have one.

TOYOTA OHH, WHAT A FEELING.
They must have been driving a MK3 when they came up with that, it's such an Orgasmic car to say the least.

THE SUPRA DYNASTY is to Be Continued.....and surely lives on in anyone reading this. :icon_bigg
