OK guys. This is your last chance. All you guys that wait for the last minute... this is it.

Here's the deal. I need to show some significant progress on getting these slots sold or we will be forced to cancel the entire thing (all registrations are 100% refundable in the case of a cancellation.

We are just 2 weeks away from our safest cancellation date - one that has a 50/50 chance of getting our deposit back - so I am laying this down.

IF WE DO NOT REACH 60 PRE-SOLD REGISTRATIONS BY END OF DAY AUGUST 8, 2005 WE WILL HAVE TO CANCEL THE TRACK DAY AND TRY TO GET OUR DEPOSIT BACK.

We currently have 13 paid participants. That means we only need 47 more people to step forward and stop procrastinating.

Please note: If we cancel the track day this year it will never return to the SILV schedule.
Also note: If we do not get the deposit back we will have to scale the whole event back to absorb the costs.

If you doubt the fun of driving on a dedicated track do some quick math.

Take the fun of driving the best local twisty road at speed
Subtract the worry about the local law enforcement sitting around the next corner waiting for you
Subtract the risk of having Mildred pull out in front of you as you come flying around the corner and not having enough time to stop
Now multiply that end result by 100 for enjoying a dedicated track day along with other Supra owners - and non-Supra owners.

Or you can ask anyone that has been bitten by the Road Course bug already. Hell... Chris Wick is coming down this year just for the road course and he said he would never make that drive down.

Come on guys. Help me out here

On August 9th I ship out the letter of cancellation unless we hit 60 prepaid participants and then start issuing refunds to those people that have already paid.

Don't let them down either.

Once we reach 60 participants we will keep registrations open until we hit 80 or we leave for Vegas.

Keith,
I would like to take the drive, but i will not have a car there! I will pay the money if you would find a Supra to rent out for the event. After all, you did not say we had to use our own car. If not a club member what about renting another fast ki :bigthumb: nd of auto for the day? You can count me in just for the fun of driving the event.

Any car is welcome and we do have an option on the website for SILV to provide a car for you to drive.

Please note: There are some people that couldn't figure out that the rental option was a joke - I do not want the responsibility of providing a car for someone to drive and possibly total and that is why the price is so high. It did prove however that people were actually reading the page. :)

Keith,
It is hard to see all the hard work you put in to this meet go to waste over a few dollars! I will paypal you the money later tonight for the road corse and I will use my dodge truck. Count me in as number 12 spot! Hell, I will even take number 13 !
Come on members show your support for the club. When will you have another chance to drive fast on a track that is made to let your self go. If I need to you can use my truck for your laps.
Now lets get the number of drivers that Keith needs.

Thanks guys. Just trying to raise awareness on this.

Greg - you'll be #15 (unless someone else beats you to it).

We've had one more paid since my last post and Greg (Adjuster) says he will pay me when he comes to Portland in a week.

We're gaining ground guys. Keep it up.

Q&A:

Is it dangerous?
NO! This is actually safer than driving on the public roads. Everyone participating in the Track Day is there for the same reason. Mildred will not be pulling out in front of you on her way to get milk and eggs.

What happens if I wreck - will my insurance cover me?
No insurance policy will cover you in a race - please note that this includes drag racing. Our track day is NOT a race. It is a drivers education day. Many insurance companies will cover you if you wreck at a school. You will want to call your insurance agent and find out if Drivers Traning track days are covered or not - please note... they may not come right out and tell you.

What if I've never done this before?
We will have a beginners run group and some class and instructor time available. We are working to ensure that this day is both FUN and SAFE for everyone involved.

:naughty: Hey guys,
Greg just told me to make an incentive for people to do the road coarse at SILV05. So I did
For anyone who signs up, pays and completes the event here is what suprasport is offering for only you!

At the end of your run at SILV05 we will give you a coupon code for our website that will give you 10% off and free shipping. This might not sound like alot but it if you have big plans for your Supra it can't hurt.
The coupon will be good as long as SupraSport and ImportedHorsePower is open. Big plans in the future? Than this will definently help.
I will coordinate with Kieth on all the participants and even if you have already signed up you will get the incentive program.
We are trying to keep the meet fully loaded and will do whatever we can to help. LMK if we can do anything for you Kieth.
Thanks
Jack

Shoot. Let's do some quick math here. To recover the entire $165 registration fee you would only have to spend $1650. How many of us WON'T be spending more than $1650 in the next year? That is a hellofadeal! Thanks SupraSport!

I would definitely love to come to this because I love to auto-x and track my car, but I'm on the other side of the U.S..:(

Everyone, for the amount of driving time you get, this is one of the best investments per dollar you can find ANYWHERE!!!

16 paid and three verbals. We can do this guys. Come on.

If you are doing any work on your car in the future your track day could work out to be free! How can you pass that up?

Getting better. We're up to 19 paid and 2 saying they will be paying very soon. Let's keep this up and we'll get there.

Remember that all track payments are 100% refundable if we are forced to cancel the track day.
