First off, Happy Birthday..

If the battery is good it can't be that. The TCCS actually compensates for low battery voltage (to a point) so as to keep the engine running well after a charging system failure. It all comes down to spark and fuel. When you get to checking it out a shot of starting fluid will quickly pinpoint which direction you should look in. I'm betting it's electrical in nature though, even it it's a lack of fuel.

hehe thanks jetjock,

where is the Cam position sensor anyhow? that is a big possiblity

, i am thinking it might be the wires since i have broken the thermostat wires plenty of times

going to check spark plugs when i go back to my car in an hour

It is at the front left corner of the engine....between the power steering reservoir and front left corner of engine, and behind the thermostat....it is round with a black plastic cover.....there's a green connector above it. That was where I found loose/broken 15+ year old wires.

Do you have a battery hold down in place? If not your battery can slide towards the radiator and the postive terminal will short out on the rad and you car will die. Happened to me.

it was in place originally, now it isnt because i tried two different batteries

once i get my car home i'll try the ohm and volt meter on everything, and yeah lex i would read the TSRM and haynes manual about my suspension and i learned way more when i had to replace everything! hah what a busy month that was

Yikes, now there's a case where baking soda could be handy in a couple of ways. Batteries must be restrained, not only to prevent electrical hazards but to prevent it from suffering a short service life. Vibration is bad for a flooded cell lead acid battery.

CPS wiring: Yep, check that out. If it doesn't start with fluid it's probably no spark and that'll be the cause. I'm somewhat puzzled by all these CPS connector failures though. I've never had a problem with any connector on the car but it's obviously happening.
