Righty, my best mate has just returned home with a shiny low mileage mk4, which is gorgeous, and now I feel slightly jealous. I've no idea why, I prefer the mk3, I think mostly because it's new car excitement and I have to fit a ball joint tonight, whereas his has 12 months MOT and 3 years warranty lol.
