1990, Turbo, Burgandy with Grey interior. 5-speed transmission, TEMS suspension. Hood needs painting. His kid overheated it, and it's got a BHG. Guy wants $1000. I'm actually considering it. Either call me an idiot, or tell me to jump. Just asking for advise here.

Do it. Same scenario, my car had a BHG, 77k orig. miles, an HKS turbo, VPC, EVC, tems, 5speed for $1,000 and I jumped all over that. Hows the body besides the hood? Any rust? How many miles?

Yikes, wait for someone else to chime in before you buy it lol I've never had a car with over 90k miles.

These cars will go for a long time with many more miles than that, so long as its got basic maintence.

WOW the bushings must be beat to death if they are the originals. Thats a lot of miles for a supra, the suspension must be worn out by know. If i ever got a car that beat up i would change all the suspension bushings and also everything else you expect when you get an old car. Like belts ,hoses, spark plugs , flush and fill of all the fluids. Its really up to you. How deep are your pockets and how far do you want to take this project? Thats the real question.

1k i would have bought it without looking at it. 90 turbo is all i needed to know.

you can part it and make easy 3x that. use that money to buy a nicer one.

Imagine a car, that hasn't been driven in 10 years, and has been sitting in a dirt lot. Yeah, right. Guy got a BHG in 97, hasn't driven it since. No thanks.

What were you expecting from a "project car?"
