I'm selling a motor and I need to ship it, what's the best way to do so?

well there is actually somebody on supraforums that may be able to help you. I believe it is under for sale/wanted supras only section. I don't know if he just ships cars, but he may be able to help in your situation.

I own a 94 Supra TT and also happen to own a freight & logistics Company. I thought of helping the Supra community so if any of you have the need to ship anything other than small packages (UPS or Fedex Ground) feel free to call email me.

I will need the following info. in order to properly quote:

* Origin & destination (city, st & zip).
* Total # of pcs (boxes / plts).
* Measurements for each box if loose or if it is all on a pallet the measurements of the plt(s). (length, width & height).
* Weight of the shipment.

Also, another way to figure it out is to ask people who bought JDM engines or they can post how theirs arrived & that may be a clue on what the best shipping for that is.

I am in the same situation. I want to buy a bumper from a member in Canada but not sure what is the best way to have it shipped. Many don't ship such big packages. So I figured UpgradedSupra would have the best answer for me (since he does ship CFX bumpers & he is a pro at shipping--so he would know for me).

How were they shipped?

If you are in the midwest or the east coast, look up a company called R&L Gator truck lines.

They are the cheapest I have found.... EVAR!

Also, declare the frieght class 70 (scrap) and you will get an even better rate.

www.freightquote.com seems to have pretty good pricing. It's easier to call than it is to try and figure out how the site works.

LOL…Sorry I confused you. I am not the shipper. I don’t have a truck for that, or a “94 Supra TT” either. heh What I do have is a million piece Supra & a bike that everyone is sick of hearing about. LOL
I was quoting the guy who is the shipper. I should have done it like this & used quotes instead.
