I really like their front bumper with the lip molded in but 175 for shipping is ridiculous.
I agree, I wanted to get that but the additional $175 for shipping seems like too much.

Lip molded in? They dont have anything like that. Are you referring to the SpecG bumper? That is a replica of Gracer full bumper.

$175 shipping for a bumper is standard in the industry. If you think that $175 to ship this bumper is expensive, please look at it from another perspective. You can order an original gracer bumper from any store. No one will have it in stock. The bumper wil be special ordered from Japan. You will pay around $700 shipped and will have to weeks weeks, if not months. I have ordered an original Gracer bumper in the past. (The actual bumper that is on thecar above.) It took 6 months to arrive.

If you order additional parts from Shine, with the bumper e.g., sides skirts, rear add-ons, rear diffuser, rear spoiler, at the same time, the cost of shipping is still $175.

So by ordering multiple parts simultaneously, a lot of money can be saved.

I know what you're saying, it's just hard to justify paying over 50% of the item cost in shipping. That is the bumper I like and if i still lived in cali I would drive out and get it myself for sure.

Shipping sucks.

Looks like original Gracer bumpers have been discontinued.

If you want to decrease the ratio of shipping cost to the cost of the bumper, you could pay shine $725 for the bumper and $175 for shipping. This reduces the ratio to 25%. lol.

To show you how relatively inexpensive a shine replica is ($350 + $175 shipping), check out how much an original gracer bumper costs, before shipping.

Seriously, 175 for a bumper doesnt sound unreasonable. If you want to save some money on the shipping cost, I'm sure they can cut it/bend it in half for you, or not pack it correctly :nono:

Shine seems to be the biggest supplier of body parts for our cars nowadays. IMO, you should either not complain about the price when it sounds reasonable AND/OR not complain that nobody makes things for our cars anymore. There's always the option of making it yourself, or finding another car/hobby to dump your money into, because MkIIIs arent for you :biglaugh:

Could always do what I did, and wait until you had all the cash ready for the body kit you want, then pay for everything at once. $175 really doesn't seem like much compared to the rest of a $2000+ bill from Shine. :p

Oh, and travweek, one thing to consider about the widebody, things can spiral out of control once you commit to that route. Ask me how I know. I dread the day I have to pay for wheels...

Honestly this is the best deal for the consumer. That way you only pay for shipping once. The supplier likes you more for making a big order too. Win/win. I know there's some people that go through cars and taste like they go through socks, so for those people, I recommend investing in a good image manipulator program (Gimp is free), seeing what it might look like, checking out and talking with other owners that might already have it. Or do what I do, and just be unique/yourself. I'm buying a set of ITBs for my car tomorrow, and I bought a stock FD spoiler to put on my Miata one day!
