shift fork removal on R154...

for some reason i did something to TSRM online so i cannot see anything... text or pics. so i can't refer to that. Hayne's manual doesn't really tell me how to remove it. I'm assuming you have to remove the shift fork before seperating the tranny from the engine. is there some kind of write up on this forum that could help me. or can some of you guys give me pointers. thanks.

Shift forks are inside the transmssion. Get a buddy who has pulled a trans before.

he means the clutch fork probably. just pull out through the opening in bellhousing then the tranny will get loose

yeah, that's what i mean. i can see it wobbling around in there, but wasn't sure how to take it out. i didn't want to just start yanking on it cause i didn't want to mess something up. so there no bolts or clips holding it in place? i can just take a pair of pliers and tug it out of there?
