My targa top on the driver side at the top back of the door leaks water when it rains. This is the only spot and the recent storms have been leaking real bad.

Dude im with yea with the leak, just yesterday i went to auto parts store and picked up some black silicone and went to town, you can do it so it looks good and really clean, it really should work, the only thing is when its time for the targa to come off youll need to take a razor blade to the parts where the silicone overlapped into the rest of the car. good luck, maybe this will help.
i just did a full targa seal replace...$75 each for the front and back and $35 for the sides.

Thanks some for the input. I was thinking of using silicone to fix it, wasn't sure how well it would do, but now with a little feedback i'm ready to fix it. Is flooding everywhere around lol including my baby(supra). I also saw a write-up on fixing leaking targas but it was for larger leaks. Mine is just that tiny spot one big drop comes in about every second when its sitting.

Good idea with the vasoline. When I got my car it had some vasoline on it, but i never thought of putting more on it. And trust be i need it.
Im fellin for ya Rob, with this rain lately. I had about 2.5in of water in my spare wheel area this sunday morning. I also had water on the rear "armrest" things from water dripping, and alot of water where the back seat would have been. lol Needless to say, i got garage rights for the rest of the week. :icon_bigg Wish it'd be longer though.

Yea drew keep me informed on the progress of your mk3. You should check out Jarco's rebuilt 7mgte's with HKS MHG and ARP hardware. Yea I gave it a catchy title, usually is a good thing but not in this case.
