car is a JZA70 TTR with blitz ecu (unknown tune, speed cut delete, fuel cut delete, boost cut delete, but no rpm raising), light tuned safc2 map done by previous owner, 3 inch down pipe and exhaust, no cat, cone filter intake, koyo rad, and just installed a profec b spec 2 on the stock twins today.

the hoses for the turbos weren't as difficult to install as many have claimed. i didnt have to remove the down pipe, air intakes or anything major really. the only tools i used was a small needle nose plier for glasses repair and a flat head. however, i did have to shift the reservior for the hydraulic fan and the cone filter out of the way to access the front turbo. the rear was harder to get at especially this one being a RHD. brake master, clutch master, heater core hoses got in the way. but all in all, it wasn't a nightmare like i first thought it to be.

left the settings untouched except raise the set boost by 10%. but rain and partial snow and not owning a wide band is preventing me from doing any real testing and tuning. car got a little sideways at 120kph with full boost. didn't want to get into any trouble so i went home. but, i did manage one quick highway pull. it hit 1.1 bar at 5 degree outside temp with 94 octane gas. no spikes or hesitation as far as i can tell.

i've never played with boost controllers before and the jza70 is my first performance turbo car. i've read the manual a few times but have yet the opportunity to play around with the settings. just wondering if those with a profec b spec 2 installed in their 1j can share their settings and experiences with me, it would be greatly appreciated.

I dunno if it's just my profec-b, but the settings that work one day have worked completely different the next. Also, even slight differences in mods will probably have a huge effect on what you set your controller to.

I don't have my stock twin settings anymore. It's not that hard to program though. If you want more boost, crank the duty cycle up a few percent at a time. If the boost is creeping, lower gain, if it's falling, raise gain.

You're not going to be making THAT much more power above 1.1bar on stockers anyways. I had almost no difference between 1.1, and 1.3bar

FYI, someone else's settings aren't going to yield the same results on your car. Everything will affect it. Elevation, temperature, what exhaust you have, what downpipe you have, what intercooler you have, how tired your wastegates are, etc.

It's pointless to ask for someone else's settings, to be honest. If you installed the profec correctly and it's functioning correctly, it shouldn't take you anymore than 20-30 minutes to get it locked in exactly how you want it. Just make sure you understand what each setting does and go at it. Adjust one at a time and not more than one at once.
