I took out and reinstalled the CPS, as the TSRM described but my timing is definetly off. I followed the instructions to set the crankshaft pulley to TDC so I could readjust. My only problem is the matchmark for TDC on the pulley is like 4 inches wide. I'm no scientist but I think this is probably bad. Just wanted to verify that the matchmark on the pulley is supposed to be a small mark, not as big as the whole range (0-15 or whatever).

I guess all I can do is try and match it close as I can and adjust with the CPS, I don't think a timing light is gonna do any better. I can get the car to run, but not well. I'm going to try JBLMK3s method to adjust the CPS and see if that helps at all. Any help or info would be appreciated. My main questions is, how big is the matchmark on the crank pulley supposed to be? Thanks.

yes it is a small mark on the front lip of the pulley. there isnt a mark on the rear lip of the pulley that sits next to the motor. what i would do is pull #1 plug out, put in a screwdriver, broom handle, etc and rotate the motor til the object is in the highest position and mark the pulley on the rear lip by the 0 mark.
