Selling a car to someone out of state

I'm selling my car to someone on the east coast. I was just curious if any of you have ever done something, I will not be meeting with the person in question, So How had I ought to get the title signed over, and a bill of sale written up?

I figure I may ask on SF after since they ship MK4's all over the country, But I like you folks best.

The only way I can think of doing something like that is filling out everything that you can on the title with your signature and include a bill of sale with your signature. Tell the driver he already has the title and hide it somewhere in the car.

Make sure you put "Gift" on the title. :biglaugh: Don't make him pay taxes on a homo blue car.

I'll have to talk to the buyer about how he would be comfortable doing this.

I never could figure out why they'd EVER tax a private sale of a car; tax was paid when the car was new.

They don't do it here.
