Not bad, has a high steer conversion (thank god). Would have to see if the frame was reinforced where the steering box is mounted though...

Overall it looks pretty good, rusty, but good. Would do some closer inspections to make sure the rust isn't anything more than surface.

It's gonna get crappy gas milage for sure though...

What engine is in it?

3vze V6. In all honesty, I'd rather have a 22re in that thing. The 3v is a PITA to work on, not to mention that it has headgasket issues.

The only good thing about it being a 3.slow, is that it's got a stronger r series transmission, but the 4cylinder transfer case is better (gear driven vs chain driven)

And if it was 22re powered it's much, much easier to swap in a 7M. ;)

Indeed. If you do in fact off-road a decent amount, it might be worth it. Half the fun for me is building my own stuff, though, so I can't really comment much.

For a DD, I'd keep the BMW.

what are you talking about, anything lifted on a highway is going to suck on gas no matter how you drive.

THIS ^^

Lifted truck have even WORSE aerodynamics, the large tires and everything hanging under the thing, it's gonna suck fuel...

My old 82 would get 13-15MPG, I knock down 23 in the supra...

Apparently you've never heard of getting a vehicle geared for bigger tires etc. May never get EXACTLY the same milage but its gonna be so damn close that it wont be noticeable.
