Seized tie-rods

Okay, so went to get the alignment done today and the driver's side tie-rod was siezed and ended up popping off of the knuckle. So, I basically need to replace the inner and outer tie-rod on that side. I have an inner tie-rod from an '88T... is it interchange-able with my 90T? Are they side-specific or can you use them on either side?

I did search and kinda need this quickly and the dealer can't get 'em for me 'til middle of next week. Thanx!

I got an outer tie-rod at the junk yard and they are interchange-able from side-to-side from what I understand... now... how do ya get the inner tie rod out?

inner tie rod tool. rent one from auto zone. just out of curiousity. did you try to heat up the outter tie rod end before heman-ing that t-rod into destruction? ive had many seized and not one broken..

Actually... the tech at the shop broke it, while trying to finish the alignment. Car's been sitting for a long time, so I can kinda see it. A different tech was there today and it was raining, so I wasn't gonna try and change it in the parking lot... I let them do it and they charged 1.5 hours of labor (~$130)! Faaawk... for something I could do in 20 minutes!

Anyways, I save enough on all the other stuff I do, so I get getting screwed once-in-awhile ain't as bad. Back on the road now with an outer tie rod I got at the junkyard (~$10). The 1st one I tried to pull was seized too... The 2nd one took ALOT of work, but I got it done. The outer tie rod is only ~$29 at Autozone and ~$73 from Toyota, but it would be Tuesday before I would get it from either one.

BTW: They are interchange-able to both sides.
