So basically I wanna install a 2nd fuel cell for Cam2. I am going to tee into the main fuel line in and have 2 valves so that when I switch Cam 2 it will block off the main tank to prevent Cam2 from leaking into main tank and one switch to block off fuel cell to prevent vis versa depending on what im running. I will install an inline pump before the tee to feed the engine with Cam 2 that will work with a switch that will take power from the main pump and switch it to my 2nd Cam 2 fuel pump. My question is.... If I don't hook up a fuel return for the Cam 2 and I let it drain back to the main tank how much gas would run thru the retun line that I will loose into the main tank? I will be running Cam 2 only for shot quartermile races under high boost so its not a big deal if I loose a little thru the return I just wanna know about how much compaired with whats being pumped into the engine comes back out the return.

MKIV guys like doing this... I'd search around SF and see what you come up with. IMO it's not worth the hassle, as you can build/buy a good water/alky injection system for the same if not less money and it'll be less complex.

im running a T61 turbo on a NA block, for high boost its a must, do u think the water injection would give me the same anti knock protection as Cam 2!!?? If so id def use that system instead.

Water $0
Cam 2 $7.00 gallon

Will the injection provide the same anti knock protection as Cam 2?

How much fuel actually goes back in the stock return line when compaired to how much comes in the main feed?

I come from a land down under
Porter: You'd be surprised at how much return volume there is and even more so without the J Tube restriction!

If you do the twin tanks you really need dedicated returns.
(It's only 1 more solenoid)

I used to run a Methanol Injection system way back on my old Twin T04 V8 Datsun as a bandaid, My system was a 20 litre Partition in the main tank feeding a 4 litre surge tank fitted with a float to control the refilling as needed at the front of the car then an Edlebrock Varajection into the motor.

It worked well and allowed me to run 30psi on pump fuel with 7.8:1 comp.

water/alky/meth injection is a bandaid for improper fueling. I would go the route you are planning.
