So I'm heading into work last night. Its 35 miles door to door mostly on I10. I'm in the left lane and here comes this &^%$ big ass semi into my lane.:icon_evil I'm forced into the median, my usually pleasant little relaxing, smooth jaunt becomes a offroad excursion. Car is bouncing over who knows what. I jump on the throttle (not sure why I chose speed over breaks:1zhelp:) and get ahead of the semi. As I launch my way onto the blacktop I now get traction. The 89's rear jumps one way and the rear feels like its starting to slide, NOT GOOD! (I only like to watch drifting) I just stay in the throttle and slightly overcorrect as now the car jumps the other way, with that same loose rear end feeling.:3d_frown: I'm thinking this is not going to end well as now I am about to go 4 wheeling again. Finally I get sure footing. I proceed to replay that song that was inturpted and go about my merry way.

A few miles later, I get passed by a lady in a white acura who saw the whole thing. You should of seen the look she gave me.:aigo: I did the hand across the forehead, for that was a close one, gesture. She nods. I almost wanted to follow her to Bama.:naughty:

None of your fucking business
You should have just backed out of the throttle and cut across under his trailer.

I've gotten squirley on the freeway before and it sucks. What I do now is just whip it around and slam it in reverse. Gotten laid a couple times for that move.

Need video of that. I aspire to be baller like you Nate.:evil2:

I've gone into the median before, don't ask! Anyway when you get back on that initial traction gets hairy. The time before I overcorrected and was back in the weeds for a bit. I've actually been airborne for approximatly 100ft. or so.:aigo::3d_frown:

Yeah I almost got smushed by a semi on the way home yesterday. On the free way with semi on my ass and then on a turn there is a huge group of cars at a complete stop. Needless to say I ended up very close to the person and front of me and it felt like the semi was maybe 1 foot behind me the entire 60-0 of braking.

What did you do with the shorts you were wearing. Did you wash them or just toss them in the trash? :sarcasm:

I wear a suit for work and can't afford the cleaning bill right now. Clench and hold!!!

This is why I stay the fuck away from semi's you have the awesome drivers and then you have the ones who think they are king of the road. When I pass them its normally VERY quickly...

Why can't people just LOOK before changing lanes? I have has two such experiences that didn't end so well. One was my over correction that landed me on a cement divider wall and totaled a Trailblazer. The other was a hydroplane that was similar, in the fact that I corrected it, and got it back straight and on the road and then got squirly rear that took me back off and into a tree. that should have totaled an F-150, but the adjuster must have been a rookie. Once they got into the job, they found another $6000 worth of damage and he said they wouldn't back out of fixing it once the original funds were cut to the body shop. Thank God that was the one vehicle that I ever leased.

I lost a car to a semi truck hit and run in January. Smoked my 94 Accord DD and didnt even notice. Luckily my friend driving was okay, but insurance never paid for it.
