My friend has a 1JZ-GTE in a SC300, just wondering, what would cause oil and coolant to mix together? It's inside the radiator and inside the engine as far as I know it since he just put in fresh oil and when we check the dip stick, it shows nothing(water in oil). It blows blue smoke on startup, but after that, it's fine. Compression is 180 170 160 180 180 180.

Cracked head???? Cracks expand under high heat...oil/water starts to seep through and mix...

that would suck, he just got that motor from an importer too =/ havent even got to drive it around. Oh! Besides that, we swapped in his 2JZ-NA tranny, but it still seems to be slipping, no power what-so ever, revving to say, 3-4k to get the car rolling. Swapped over the torque coverter and 2JZ-GE tranny with it also, what would be causing this?

Electronic solenoids not wired in correctly? It's probably taking off in 2nd or 3rd gear.

As far as the coolant in the oil goes, it could be a bhg. It's not easy to do, but if you overheat a 1jz enough it can happen.

ive seen it happen in 2jge's as well. a lot of people will just drive the car and not pay attention/care enough and let it
