The check port on the R154 transmission bolt is STRIPPED and can not be saved nor opened up.. I read the transmission takes on 3.2 qts of manual transmission fluid yet its not always an accurate reading since some people have been known to add more before it leaked out of the check hole...... If it ends up going over that would I be safe? I threw in 3 and a half bottle of redline.... Thats about 3.5 qts maybe?. Should I pour in the full 3 bottle only?

I vote the bolt can be saved...

Get a grinder or something and make some flat surfaces on the bolt again.

Or just do what the wise man said. ;)

Im sure it can.. but the car is sitting out on a cement ground in direct sunlight with no fans nor tree in 100+ degree weather haha. Maybe in the fall or something. For now I just need to get it done so I can drive it and trouble shoot it.

Ummmm I dont know what planet you're from, but where I come from that is ideal wrenching weather.

Try installing a helicoil outside in 20 degree weather standing in 6 inches of snow.

Since when does 2 quarts plus a half bottle of redline equal 3.5 quarts? When did redline start making 3 quart bottles?

^haha. Yea you'll need to add some more.

To get the bolt out you will either need to grind down the sides to make it flat, or lay a piece of duct tape(or similar) over it and try to get it off again. Tape on the head will give you an extra bite.
