Many people say The sky & your pocket is the limits..Check out 7mpower.com to have a look at the highest numbers on 7ms

My 7m has got the hks HG and arp studs..Motor is in good shape..With the right tuning what are the same limits of boost the motor can handle

Safe boost?

As long as there is enough fuel it will always be safe boost. Of course the person driving it might not think so ;)

The real question should be: How much $$$ will I have to spend to make "X" psi boost? :evildeal:

A guy at in STL was running 26 PSI on a T-66 ball bearing, built head (cams, gears, oversize valves, port polish, and MHG with studs) and stock bottom end save a flywheel and clutch. He dynoed 672 rwhp on 26 psi and he did fine, even daily drove it until it got taken by the IRS when he got caught frauding them. :(

I'm not an expert, but I thought the 7m head could only take a maximum of 14 psi before starting to warp. Correct me if I'm wrong. Maybe it's all in the tune...?

If you're on stock fuel with stock air management Im calling BS unless you're running some sort of unmetered air system.

The stock bottom end has 3 flaws:

-Low weak oil pressure
-Weak rod bolts
-Weak Wrist pins

Beyond that, I have seen a "stock" engine with the right ARP hardware and aftermarket pistons go into the 500's.

^^^^ bingo, the question you should ask is how much flow can I achieve(or want). little turbo at say 10 PSI will flow say 30 lb/min bigger turbo at 10 psi will flow 40 lb/min. Lets go to the extreme and boost say 30 psi , little turbo may flow 40 lb/min but it has heated the intake charge so much your going to detonate. big turbo is flowing 60 lb/min and the temp has not increased significantly cause your turbo is still realativly efficient. End result your little turbo has fried your engine at only 400 hp , but your big turbo has not and your making 600 HP(numbers not based on any particular turbo)

Before taking off my 57 Trim CT26 (last weekend) I ran on boost levels as high as 16psi and all my internals are stock. I know that's not exactly in your boost range, but with a T66 or SP61 or any of those big fat turbo's out in the market, you can push a whole lot more than 16 pounds on stock internals. :)

In the process of upgradeing my turbo and I think I'm gonna push more around 16psi instead of 18 because I am also going to do a full stand alone and have it tuned for higher boost ..anyway I'm looking at a gt42r is that a good turbo for this setup

Honestly, I don't know too much about the GT42R. As for me pushing 16psi...it was only on a couple occaisions that it did it (different running conditions, I guess)...but it was normally at 15psi (stock AFM/440's).
Unless I backed off and got back into it, it wouldn't hold 15psi w/o cutting out. I'll be going w/ a Lex AFM soon to get rid of that problem, though!;)
Yes, 16psi on a CT26 and 16psi on a T88 are 2 COMPLETELY different things.

Have fun w/ it and boy is it expensive. Just a thought from my experience, if you have your goals laid out, plan on running into some minor problems on the way because nothing will ever go "PERFECT" unless you've already done some kind of rebuild.
