from what i have read, you do not need it, as you can adjust fuel with these, but the safc has more adjustment pionts so you can fine tune it a little more.

The SAFC isn't required for either, unless your tuner cannot get a decent fuel curve out of the MAFT, which is unlikely in the extreme. Some people running LARGE injectors have run into this kind of problem, however. Also, many folks have installed one essentially just for the pretty lights.
The MAFT pro shouldn't be run with a SAFC at all, IMO, as it already has the same adjustments built into it.
