Safc neo help

I wired up a apexi safc neo on my friends 89 supra everything reads except the thr position reading when we try to calibrate it say calibration ok but if he give the slitghtes bit off throtle it say 100% the max voltage was 4.86 any one have any idea on y this is happening?

Sounds like you may have tapped the IDL line of the TPS and not VTA. Double check that you've tapped VTA. The signal is typically from .5v to 3.5v.

EDIT: I take that back, IDL goes to ground when closed and is open when the throttle is open.

EDIT2: Sorry, I'm not familiar with the Neo, it calibrates the throttle position automatically? If so, then the IDL switch having been tapped might still be a possibility. Make sure VTA is where you're getting your signal and post back.

do u know off hand which wire it is on the harness?

It's located on the middle connector, pay attention to the location of the locking clips when you refer to this, it's upside down if compared to a mounted ECU.

Oh, and, it's right next to the IDL input.
