Saab 9000 aluminum ic

I was lookin' at ic's on e-bay, and remembered that I'd read somewhere that the Saab 9000 ic is a good alternate to the 7m stock ic. It is about 4" shorter in length, an inch taller, and about an inch thicker. The particular one I was looking at, had aluminum end tanks also. Can anybody shed some light on this subject? Would it be worth it, or are hardpipes for the stock ic, all that is necessary?

Maybe OT but kinda along the same lines.

I would tend to think that alot of newer turbo cars coming out would have better stock FMICs then our cars have. IE evo8, srt, etc. Does anyone know how these IC measure up to our stockers?
