In about two weeks I will be getting a JDM engine and there are a couple of things that I want / need to know what would be the best to do.

1. Should I just retorque the stock head bolts

2. Get arp bolts and torque them to spec

3. Take the engine to a shop and have them do a proper hg job with arp
bolts and a metal hg

As of yet I dont know the condition of the engine, the place that I'm getting it from has a warranty on the engine for anything that might break on the engine.

Any help would be great.

I'd take the head off and install a Cometic MHG w/ ARP studs...just my 2 cents.
Take a look at the condition of the valves and pistons while you're there.

Depends.

If you want a head gasket that should never fail, don't intend on digging into the engine internals again in the future, or want to put down big power numbers, get some machining and put in a MHG.

If you want something that is easier to install, don't plan on running a whole lot more power than stock, and don't mind pulling the head again in the future if you have to, go OEM composite.
