is it a turboii? if so watch out for how many miles its got unless its rebuilt by someone who knows what they are doing. the 13b is prone to blowing apex seals. the part is really not that expensive or hard to replace, it just requires that you tear the entire motor down. if i ever baught an FC rx7, id most definatly do a v8 swap after my wankel rotory took a crap on me! your rotory WILL die, and thats just how it is.

hope that helps.

haha I'm a member of RX7Club.com too :)

It is a very informative site and lots of cool people. And I think I have the screen name 87Supra :D

I was building a 3d model of an FD and needed specific shots of the motor and hard to find parts, they were very accommodating.

I've had an '87 n/a, '88 Turbo II, and a '93 FD. My n/a had over 250,xxx miles before the motor died. Turbo II died once it hit the 100,000 mile mark. The FD blew 7 motors...trying to make over 450 hp does that to a 13B. Rebuilt the REW motor 6 times and said fuck it....I'm getting a toyota. Haven't looked back. FWIW, the rx7 is the most fun car I have ever owned. It's like driving a really fast go-cart.
