RX-7 Battery Problem

Hey all, I have a buddy with a 1990 RX-7 with a battery issue. He is on his 3rd battery in like 2 months, the last one he put in last week, didn't drive the car, and today the battery has half a volt of charge in it. Any ideas on what is happening? Every battery he puts in it just dies.

I would agree with nick if only he is loosing all his accesories while driving and constantaly needs boosting. Get the alternator checked...its free.

In the above scenario the Alternator had no role to play, I'd be looking for what's drawing current while the car is off.

How would I even start to try to find whats drawing current while the car is off?

Unhook the Battery + cable hook a multimeter between it and the the battery then start unplugging fuses one by one.

aftermarket stereo or alarm..?

seems like something's constantly pulling current and draining it. If he doesn't drive it very often, the alternator has no time to charge the battery, so it dies..
