Hey guys, this is my first thread on SM. I just recently bought an 87 N/A for $1800 off of craigslist. The only imperfection on the entire car is a rust spot on the driver side fender.

It's about the size of a softball but it's almost rusted completely through. I was poking at it with a pen and rust was falling off.

So my question to you guys is: How hard would it be to fix a softball size rust hole in the driver side fender?

I won't have pictures til this weekend, but any help without pictures would be appreciated. I'm very low on funds so I think most of the body work will be done by myself if possible.

Thanks in advance guys.

P.S. I love this forum!

Be very glad its the front fender, those are cake. Rear fender wells involve cutting and welding if the rust is too bad.

You can buy a new fender for around $100 and paint to match. Or you can try and find a good used fender and hope you can find one the same color of your car.

Well I plan on getting a new paint job done eventually. The only problem for finding a used one... I called 6 different junk yards, non of which have MKIII supras.

So on a side note, anyone know a good website I can buy a fender on? One sight I was on, only seemed to have the passenger fender... :dunno:

Just keep looking on eBay,I normally go to "parts and accessories+Toyota Supra MKII"
It does not have anything to do performance-wise,so i would think that it's an "eventual-part"
