runs but dies

i just got a 89 7mgte it starts but when i drive it, and step on the gas it dies. then it wont start back up again until i wait a day or so very confused please help thanx

Check your codes. Sounds like it could be a bad AFM.

Do you have a multimeter? Read in the repair manual at www.supratsrm.com and it'll tell you how to test the AFM with the multimeter. As for the fuel system, put a pressure guage into the port the coldstart injector lines comes off on the fuel rail and see if you're getting pressure. Once you have done those tests and it they both come up inconclusive reply back.
