Well, as some of you know, my interior is out of my car, along with my stock shift knob. I went looking for it yesterday and seemed to have misplaced it. I bought a discontinued Veilside Aluminum shift knob a while back and decided to use it instead since I need to get used to it.

Well I painted my carpet today and removed it, put it on top of my car, and guess what... It fell off onto the ground. Its scratched up pretty nicely, but the sticker on top is still in one piece. The scratches arent too deep and look like they can be repaired. What can I do to remove the scratches on the knob without ruining its appearance? Should I have it professionally repaired?

remove the sticker. tig in some new aluminum, then sand and polish. I am just guessing that it was polished from original?

some heat, from like a hair blower. not too much, just a little to get the glue warm...and soft. now some stickers will peel off nicely others are a p.i.t.a.
if you must ..use a sharp NEW blade to scrap it free...gently.enjoy;)
