Here is our drag Supra, we've had it stashed in the corner of the shop for a while now and decided to yank it out and try some tuning.. We filled it with Methanol and John did some mad tuning.. 1034whp was our best run.. We are out of fuel pump (crazy because its a mechanical pump rated to 1300-1400bhp).. The estimated BHP is somewhere in the high 1200's

Another funny note.. Since we were tuning on full methanol, the IC was actually holding us back slightly.. it was not full during these pulls.

Just thought I'd share it with you guys.. even though there are soo many mk4 haters here.. lol

hahah.. Time to upgrade your Commador 64 Duane! :biglaugh: I'll do the YouTube thing for ya.

The lag is pretty typical for a 47-88 on Meth.. lol (joke, theres not a lot of those out there) When racing the art will be making the meth and NOS work together in harmony.. not easy. :naughty:

Maybe someday when Tim is on vacation or something I'll yank the motor and drop it in a MK3 real quick, video it & take it to the track.. lol

Hmm....im interested in the fuel pump issue as i will be using the same pump in my setup (meth and gt4788) on my 7m.... I thought for sure there shouldnt be an issue with that....

Anyways, the car is more amazing in person, and even though its a 2j, ( ;) ) I look forward to seeign this car progress and get better, as it essentially the same setup albeit with a 2j.

Anymore info on the pull? Fuel psi, boost psi, etc?

I'll have to have John confirm this with his logs.. I believe the boost was 44psi, I'm not sure what the fuel pressure was, but I know we were only on 12 of the 16 injectors. I'll find out more on the pump and let you know.. I was kinda shocked myself.

I don't think its the car that people are hating on. More the attitude of some of the owners. Which is a personal problem.

Atleast I hope not. That just sounds ignorant coming from a fellow supra owner.

BTW..I love that thing! Hope to see more.

Well, based on all our calculations I guess its just a simple answer.. We have run that pump to its limit. It is rated 1300-1400 using methanol, and we estimate the actual HP at the crank to be in that range given the transmission setup. Aeromotive makes higher flowing mechanical pumps, I'm just not sure we have completely decided which one to run yet.

wow....just....wow.
i vote when slow gets his MKIII done, that the 2 of you guys battle it out. see if the 2j MKIV is actually better than the 7m MKIII, seing how both are on pretty much the same setup.

estimated times?

BTW, i love that guage cluster, if i had the money and the use ide have one as well. almost everythign you need in one tight package.

Could you find out the PN of the pump that you guys are running? I have the 11105 pump.

Thanks again.
