Roxy Update

Thought I'd post some new pics of Roxy while I was in the picture-posting mood. She's gettin' big -- she's about 5-1/2 months old now, and she weighed in at 40.7lbs at the vet's office this week.

On a light note as well, shouldn't be any problems with her when I move down into Denver. When I took her in for her initial exam, the Vet put 'Terrier Mix' on her paperwork, and when I took her back this week, they told me they didn't see any pit in her, something about her head and shoulders being too narrow. Guess the only way to be 100% sure is to get a dna test. But not going to worry about that. She's been pretty good overall, but definitely had her shithead moments...LOL! Pretty much got her broken from her little sock fetish (you weren't kidding Don!) now, but she's graduated on to plastic cups, photo albums, pens, books, trash, Bounce sheets....anything she can get her paws on...HA!

damn what a fuckin cutie!

i got a rhodesian ridgeback that went through the "chewing anything daddy touches" phase, untill she was about 3. now she's 7 and she's probably the best dog i've had, or will ever had. she's incredibly clever.. if you hand her something, she will take her to whoever you say "take it to daddy!" and she will drop it at your feet..

I love dogs.. they are mans best friend.. WHY? because they dont backstab, they dont talk behind your back. they are always your friend =)

that looks like a beautiful dog bud.

She is adorable and sure has that troublemaker fire burning in her eyes :D
We have the same blue bone tag for our dogs, lol.

Sounds exactly like our Jack Russell lady too!
When she was little she would live off of chew toys but god beware when she ran out of those.
One time we took her for a road trip and ran out of them and couldn't find good enough replacement chew stuff. So we thought "Oh well, just keep her busy and it'll be fine". Well after arriving at the hotel room she was fine and then I turned my back on her and the next thing I know is that my pants are missing their crotch and the hubby's cap (both were laying on the bed) is missing most of it's top and she was already trying to find out how blankets look on the inside. Needless to say we went and got her something to chew on... anything!
When she was about 3months she'd try and push our buttons trying to crawl under the computer desk all day. So the hubby pulls her out, tells her no, puts her on the floor... 10 secs later, lil puppy is under desk again, hubby pulls her out again, makes her look at him, tells her no, puts her down. Anyone wanna guess what happened next?
Yeah, puppy under desk being pulled out, told no and stuffed into her crate for time out... :biglaugh:
On a side note, I am still amazed how good crate training worked for Jess.

Nomad: I'd like to see some pics of your ridgeback!!! Please!
Love those dogs, so intelligent. We wanna get one eventually but need to do research still regarding where to get a good lil pup.
