Hey guys, i have replaced all my upper engine gaskets with Fel-Pro gaskets, i made sure all gasket surfaces are clean from any old gaskets, oil, etc, and i re-assembled the head back on the car. Crankshaft pulley at 0 degree top dead center compression (#1 piston was up and cam lobes adjusted (can see nose of cam in oil filler hole) then installed the distributor idled the car for 10 mins and set the ignition timing to 10 degrees BTDC, even with the ignition timing right and no vacuum hisses or anything the car still idles rough, OH and when i accelerate the car and let go of the gas i get a small pop almost like a backfire out of the exhaust, can anyone chime in on this? thanks!

Check again for vacuum leaks and any loose connectors. A leak too small to hear can still affect your idle. Also, did you double check your cam timing by pulling the timing cover or only through the oil fill hole? If it's not a vacuum leak or loose connector then your cam may be off a tooth.

got it thanks though, turns out the banjo bolt that holds down the fuel supply to the rail was loose and was gushing out gas, ordered new washers from toyota should be here tomorrow, i verified it by using regular thick washers and it got the idling smooth, thanks!
