well, my build started sooner than i wanted. after having 2 pistons melt. i was testing my lexus afm. i forgot to take out the lexus afm when i drove it the next day and the engine leaned out and that was it. i decided to go all out this time. cause i already rebuilt it once, using all stock parts.

here's a list of the components i'm getting.

JE Pistons
Eagle Rods
RC 550 cc
Lexus AFM
Walbro Fuel Pump
AFPR
AEM Wideband O2
S-AFC II
Ferrea Valvetrain
Fidanza Flywheel
Zoom Stage 3 Clutch
New Engine Harness
Toyota Rebuild kit
Fully Balanced Crank, Pistons, Rods, Flywheel
ATI Crank Pulley
Clevite Rod and Main Bearings
AEM Cam Gears
HKS Dragger Exhaust
Tokico TEMS Struts
Eilbach Lowering Springs 1.5 F and 1.0 Rear ( i think)
Cross Drilled Slotted Rotors off of Ebay
Koyo Radiator

Unsure about Camshafts yet.
Now, don't laugh, but i have XSPower intercooler, turbo, manifold.
It wouldn't hurt to try it. I know about the you get what you pay for.

if anybody has any suggestions about parts to get, please let me know. i'm still trying to think of everything i need to do this build.

Looking good man. I'll be expecting a ride in it once your done.:biglaugh: :biglaugh:

sure thing man. you'll probably see me working on it in the summer time if you do the lifegaurd thing again. i'm always working on my car, it's weird though it usually ends up worse than when i started...lol

well, i cleaned up the engine bay a little. in person it looks a lot better. there isn't oil on the cross member and steering rack anymore.

i also need help identifying a wire. it's under the fuse bok, two blue wires, with a simple wire connector on the end. it looks like it would go to some kind of ground. i'm not sure

oh god, please dont use eagle rods =(
and get some bigger injectors.. 720's maybe? never hurts to be safe...
im basically talking out my ass though, im new to supras... but my experience with hondas says to steer away from eagles and stick with crowers...

There is nothing wrong with eagle rods whatsoever, it's the idiots with the shitty tuning that's the problem :icon_conf .

i did a lot of reading on them. and my conclusion is that as long as you get them balanced and use stronger ARP bolts. they're a pretty good deal. on ebay including JE pistons, rings and bearings i think although i'm getting King or Clevite bearings. people say King are better...anyway all for just over $1,000

I'm on board.

I would rebuild that turbo before you use it. I one examined and the bearings were not a good quality which leads to many of the failures you hear about.

Also, you might want to check that turbo fitment in the engine bay. That thick spacer pushes the turbo very close to teh strut tower and it might hit.
