Alright alright alright, I want you all to get your laughs over with, but I have a serious question. I have recently found out, thanks to a buddy letting me drive his skyline some, that I am a better driver if I'm shifting left-handed, and I've always wanted a RHD Supra.......SOOOOO...... Does anyone have a clue where to get a fairly good condition RHD shell. Or I guess if need be I could do a complete conversion, but that would cost alot.

I don't know how hard it will be to get registered, but Jose at Kaizen motorsports was selling a 1991 rhd shell a while back. I think he still has it for sale.

It would be a lot easier and cheaper to just practice shifting right handed though.

If you want one then you are gonna have to
Import one at a huge cost and it won't be street legal...or buy one from Canada that you can tow for less of a huge cost and the cut it appart and swap parts over...

Good luck but it's fail!

Nope. Buy Jose JDM sup, because even if you were to find one closer you will pay way more then what he is asking. If you are serious about getting RHD eather road trip it, or ship it, because no matter what you are going to have to pay for gas or shipping cost any way.

you must be left-handed..

I'm left-handed myself, but when it comes to driving, I can only steer with my left and shift with my right..

I've sat in the passenger seat at times, thinking I was Takumi and tried shifting with the left, I get completely disoriented, and try clutching with my right, and gassing with my left..:D

That's the best deal you're going to find for a RHD Supra. Even converting a LHD to a RHD would cost WAY more than that car. To be honest, if buying that (low priced) RHD shell is not in your budget; then you may as well forget about a RHD Supra.

I learned to drive manual in a RHD Datsun. I liked it. Good luck with the search. There are a ton of RHD vehicles up here now. I think Skylines are the majority of them, but there are some Supras rolling around.

We have tons of RHD cars here in Canada, anything thats 15 years old or older can be imported and registered. The MK4's are just starting to come over for half the price, of anything we can find here. Here is a link to a local dealer, a few people I know have bought thier cars here. Again I have no idea if you can register it there, maybe if its registered here in Canada first then transfered to US registration.

Honestly, just buy a RHD supra...

they have lower miles, better condition, better features, etc and some come with 1jz..and they are dirty cheap (looking at 3-5k for a 30-70km car if you know where to look...)

I just picked up a RHD Silvia, first time driving it I did a lot of 1st to 4th shifts. Other than that it was no problem.

Oh, and turn signals are mirrored, thats tough to get used to.

A guy I knew in australia drove a saab, which actually had the turn signals on the left side of the wheel! And it was a standard!! That blew my mind...imagine a car over here having the signal stalk on the right side of the wheel....how the hell would you shift and signal at the same time?
